Distributed
Architecture. System administrators will be able to install
multiple IG servers in different locations with a unique RS server
managing the user authentication or have both modules running on the same
server.
Secure Firewall. Built-in Firewall security
for added protection against inside/outside attacks.
DHCP Server. Fully configurable DHCP server,
which virtually eliminates the need to set up computers with their IP
individually. Supports up 4000 DHCP clients per server.
Mac Based Routing. Transparent support for
client IP devices with any DHCP or fixed IP configuration.
Users & Groups. Access filtering and
control functions to be set for individual users and groups.
Remote Control. Provided with a Remote
Control application for the IG module, with a number of flexible features
for simple control, for an ultimate control over the user’s access to
the Internet.
Remote Administration. Full access to
monitoring and administration functions by authenticated users from a
locally networked or remote computer.
TCPServer Locator. Allows users to see a list
of all the servers on the network, without having to manually search for
IP addresses.
Shared Internet Access. Unlimited number of
client machines may access the Internet by sharing a single IP address.
Network Address Translation (NAT) performs all necessary address
translations transparently. Therefore, clients need not even know they are
accessing the Internet through the server.
Real-time Processing. There is no performance
difference from the client machine being directly connected.
No Compatibility issues with any software
running on the client machines, and requires no proprietary client
configuration or software.
Supports any connection method, including
modem, cable modem,xDSL, T1, leased line, Telco Return systems and the
latest generation of wireless connectivity.
Direct support for PPPoE (Point to Point
Protocol over Ethernet) is included, without requiring any third-party
client software, or special client configuration.
Unlimited number of clients. Can hand out an
unlimited number simultaneous client addresses, such as Windows 95/98/NT,
MacOS & UNIX or any other IP-based devices.
Dynamic TCP/IP allocation or using
preconfigured tables of information, allowing for the maximum of
flexibility.
"Learn" option included, for
handling the current DHCP clients, and then limit serving DHCP to these
known computers.
Internet Filters provide specific
restrictions to be placed on accessing Internet sites, by domain name or
IP address. Wildcards are supported to block out specific ranges of sites.
Protocol blocking allows you to define which
Internet services, such as FTP, email or news groups, are accessible to
your users.
Individual access rights, with each
connection having its own access rights control section, providing
comprehensive management of connected networks.
DNS Caching - Minimize delays and time-outs
experienced during Internet sessions.
Local DNS Server - Facilitate access to local
hosts by using host names rather than IP addresses.
DNS/DHCP Integration - Enjoy the use of host
names while retaining the benefits of dynamic address allocation.
Team connections - Increase throughput by
using all your available bandwidth
Multiple
connections of any type - Use any available connection, regardless
of what type. Mix and match T1, DSL, Cable modem.
Combine Different ISP Connections - Use more
than one ISP for optimal availability of service.
Bandwidth-on-demand - Additional connections
open on demand. Bandwidth becomes available as required, optimizing
connection resources.
Control on order of connection. You decide
the order of connection - Maintain control over bandwidth allocation.
Specify mail and news traffic destinations -
Default connection for Mail and News traffic.
Server-Based Web Caching - Faster web
browsing for LAN-based users. With Efficient use of Internet bandwidth.
Transparent connection to the Cache server -
No setup required for LAN client browsers
Local and Remote Administration of the Cache server
- Administrator can administer the Cache server both from the server
computer and optionally remotely using a browser.
Concurrent Caching and Delivery - Faster
content delivery to LAN browsers.
Routing TCP/IP information between almost any installed configurations of
Ethernet cards or communications interfaces, the Router component of the
server allows for the ultimate in flexibility in a network environment.
Multiple LAN support. A single IG server can
support an unlimited number of LAN systems (All NICs instlaled on the
server).
Connection Fallback. Assure availability of
service in mission critical environments.
Fallback on connection by connection basis - Tailor fallback to your
specific needs.
User defined fallback order - Use more than
one ISP for optimal availability of service.
Use the same connection, but to different ISP
- Optimize use of connection resources.
Connection Auto Recover - Failed connection
can be automatically re-established if possible.
WebHeader feature allows the administrator to
place a text or graphic message automatically in a separate frame above
each web page displayed in users’ browsers. WebHeaders can incorporate
hyperlinks - Users may point and click through to other web pages on other
sites. The WebHeader may draw users to view additional information.
Carousel of Notices - Increase impact by rotating multiple notices. Style
Helper - ease of use in creation of eye catching WebHeader notices. No
need to learn HTML!
Advanced filtering functionality allows the
administrator to selectively prohibit access to specified sites. In
addition, we have extended the capability of Internet filters by licensing
the ’CyberNOT’ list and incorporating support for it in our servers.
Categories of CyberNOT can be activated or deactivated:
Violence/Profanity, Satanic or Cult, Partial Nudity, Drugs/Drug Culture,
Full Nudity, Militant/Extremist,
Sexual Acts, Sex Education, Gross Depictions, Questionable/illegal &
gambling, Intolerance, Alcohol & tobacco, Search Engines.
User defined filters. Specify independent
implicit and wildcard domains to allow or disallow access. Override
CyberNOT controls to grant access to specified sites.
Diagnostic utilities to aid configuration and troubleshooting. For testing
Basic IP connectivity with name and address resolution.
Connection
tracing - Traces all dial-up connection communications and
negotiations. Router tracing - Traces all
router activity.
Walled Garden. System administrators can
define specific sites where the service will be provided for free.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) compatibility.
100% Access with simultaneous private and public IP address functionality
(IPSEC, Microsoft PPTP).
NetSpooler Printing Support. Transparent
support of the DTLink Inc. NetSpooler pay-per-print or any third-party
printing solution. |
